Everything needed to run Labor Day Sunday, September 6 across paid, social, print and broadcast. Creative is final. Two ad sets, one campaign.

The event

Sunday, September 6 — Labor Day weekend

The Nine Indoor Golf Lounge, 1205 Airport Parkway, South Burlington VT. Open 10 AM – 9 PM. Two paid games running all day, $500 cash on the line, walk-in only — no signup, no handicap, no tee time.

Game one

Closest to the Pin

$200 to a guy, $200 to a girl. Two brackets, ladies play the forward tees. Board closes at 6 and the best shot of the day stands.

Game two

Long Drive

$100, winner takes all. One open board. At 6 the board closes and the top three hit one ball each — that ball takes the hundred.

Entry is $10 a game or $15 for both, three shots each, re-enter as often as you like. Play a game and the Jamaican Supreme food truck feeds you free. Garage door up to the course, Long Drink pouring at the bar.

The finish

At 6 PM, three things back to back

  1. Long Drive shootoutBoard closes, top three hit one ball each. $100 paid on the spot.
  2. Cash winners announcedBoth Closest to the Pin winners called and paid in cash, in the room.
  3. Last CallEveryone who bought an entry that day — whenever they played — gets one free ball at a tucked pin. Closest wins Yards Card No. 1 of 50: the house card, $750 to play at The Nine. Only fifty will ever exist and number one is not for sale. You have to be present to play it.

The creative

Two sets, one campaign

They do different jobs and should be flighted together, not as separate campaigns. Lead with the Yards Card creative — it is the more clickable half — and let the Summer Series creative be what people land on.

Note: the Yards Card 728×90 carries no card art on purpose — at ninety pixels tall it reads as an orange smudge. That unit is type only. Nothing is missing.

Short

Labor Day Sunday at The Nine. $500 cash across Closest to the Pin and Long Drive, $10 a game or $15 for both, walk in. Play any game and you're in Last Call at 6 PM — one ball each, closest to the pin takes Yards Card No. 1 of 50.

Medium — social, paid social

Card No. 1 of 50 isn't for sale. On Sunday, September 6, somebody wins it.

The Whole Nine Yards Card is our house card — $500 buys $750 to spend here, and only fifty are being made. Number one is going to a stranger at six.

How you get in: play any game that day. $10 a game, $15 for both, three shots each. That puts you in Last Call at 6 PM — everyone who played gets one ball at a tucked pin, one at a time, everyone watching. Closest takes the card.

Played at ten in the morning? Still in. But you have to be here at six.

Long — press, newsletter, broadcast read

The Nine Indoor Golf Lounge in South Burlington is giving away the first of only fifty Whole Nine Yards Cards on Labor Day Sunday, September 6.

The Yards Card is the lounge's house card: $500 loads $750 of value, good on bay time and food, and it never expires. Fifty will be issued, ever. Card No. 1 is not being sold — it is the prize in a contest called Last Call.

Anyone who buys an entry into either Summer Series game that day is automatically in. At 6 PM every one of them gets a single shot at a tucked pin, taken one at a time in front of the room. Closest to the pin takes the card home that night. Entries are $10 a game or $15 for both, walk-in, no handicap, no sign-up. There is $500 in cash on the line the same day across Closest to the Pin and Long Drive.

Do

  • Headlines in Bebas Neue, body in Barlow, labels in Barlow Condensed.
  • Teal is informational. Orange is action. Gold belongs to the Yards Card set.
  • Use the supplied logo file — never retype the wordmark.
  • Say "fifty" and "No. 1" together. Scarcity plus specificity is the whole idea.

Don't

  • Never imply free or discounted alcohol. Vermont liquor law — the Yards Card is tender, not a drink offer. Not negotiable.
  • Do not quote an expiry date on the card's bonus value. Not confirmed.
  • Do not call the card a discount or a membership.
  • Do not state a headcount on the free food.
