The Nine Indoor Golf Lounge ("The Nine," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Roots Future, LLC at 1205 Airport Parkway, South Burlington, Vermont 05403. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit theninegolflounge.com, book a bay, buy a gift card, attend an event, or otherwise interact with us — and what we do with it.

    1. Information you give us

We collect information you provide directly, including:

    • Bookings and reservations. Name, email address, phone number, party size, and the date and time of your reservation. Bay reservations are handled through our scheduling provider, Whoosh.
    • Purchases. Payments, gift cards, memberships, and point-of-sale transactions are processed by Square. Square handles your card details directly; we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
    • Event and contact inquiries. Information you submit through forms on this site, including your name, email, phone number, event type, and any details you choose to share.
    • Leagues, lessons, and programs. Registration details and, where applicable, scores and league standings.
    • Waivers. Information required by our liability waiver, including the name and age of participants.
    • Marketing. Your email address or phone number if you opt in to hear from us about events, leagues, and promotions.
    • Communications. Anything you send us by email, phone, text, or social media.
    2. Information collected automatically

When you visit this site, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

    3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and comparable tools to keep the site working, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising. The services we currently use include:

    • Google Analytics 4 — site usage and traffic measurement.
    • Google Tag Manager — manages the tags listed here.
    • Google Ads — conversion measurement and remarketing, including advertising delivered on Google Search, the Google Display Network, and YouTube.
    • Meta Pixel — measurement and remarketing for advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
    • Webflow — website hosting and form handling.
    • Square and Whoosh — payments, gift cards, and bay scheduling.

These providers may set their own cookies and may combine information collected on our site with information they hold about you from other sites and services. Their own privacy policies govern that use. We do not receive your name or contact details from advertising cookies.

    4. Your advertising and cookie choices

You can control this in several ways:

    • Manage Google's use of your data for ads at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
    • Manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
    • Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.
    • Block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

    5. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to take and confirm reservations; process payments, gift cards, and memberships; run leagues, lessons, and private events; answer your questions; send you marketing messages if you have opted in; understand and improve how our site and lounge are used; measure and target our advertising; maintain the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property; and meet our legal, tax, accounting, and Vermont liquor-licensing obligations.

    6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

    • Service providers who work on our behalf — including Square, Whoosh, Webflow, Google, Meta, our email provider, and our bookkeeping and accounting professionals — and only as needed to perform those services.
    • Advertising and analytics partners, as described in Section 3.
    • Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, subpoena, or regulation, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, our staff, or the public.
    • A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.
    7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business purposes, including tax, accounting, insurance, and liquor-licensing recordkeeping. Signed waivers and transaction records are retained for the periods our insurers and Vermont law require. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

    8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we rely on established providers such as Square for payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    9. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Minors are welcome in the lounge when accompanied by a parent or guardian; in that case a parent or guardian provides the information required for the reservation and the waiver. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information online, contact us and we will delete it.

    10. Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message, reply STOP to marketing texts, or contact us directly. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will respond as required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us and we will work with you in good faith.

    11. Third-party links

Our site links to services we do not control, including our booking system, gift card store, and social media accounts. This policy does not cover those services, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

    12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here with its effective date at the top. Material changes take effect when posted.
